Every building moves — concrete expands, steel contracts, temperature and wind never rest. All that movement collects at one place: the expansion joint. It is the number one origin of terrace and structural leakage — not the membrane around it. A conventional sealant fills the gap with a bead bonded to two edges; when the joint moves, that narrow strip absorbs the entire load. Beyond roughly ±25% of joint width the sealant over-stretches, tears internally, debonds at the edge, and water reaches the slab. If a joint cannot absorb movement while staying watertight, leakage is not a risk — it is a certainty.
Engineered to install, simple to inspect — no humidity guesswork, no critical mixing ratios, just visual placement into epoxy.
A thermoplastic elastomer tape, punch-holed on both faces and epoxy-bonded across the joint — a permanent, flexible waterproof bridge, not a stressed filler. Applied by a certified Weatherblazer team, never supplied loose.
Factory-punched holes let epoxy key through both faces — a peel strength of >8 N/mm² that shrugs off moisture.
Elongation at break of >600% absorbs violent, high-cyclic movement that tears any sealant bead apart.
Root-proof, chemical-resistant and UV-stable for >6000 hours — engineered for exposed Indian terraces.
Key figures for Jointblazer EXP TPE Tape, from the Weatherblazer product catalogue.
Also: root-proof · resistant to acids, alkalis & aggressive chemicals · bonded with high-strength 2-component epoxy adhesive.
Polysulphide and polyurethane seal the gap. Jointblazer bridges it — the difference shows up everywhere a joint actually gets tested.

Final system and detailing are confirmed after a site assessment and written into the method statement.
